Eaton Ohio's Bicentennial Celebration

I was commissioned to fabricate the Eaton Bicentennial city signs, located at U.S. 127 North and South, U.S. 35 East and West, and Ohio 122 East.  The signs are 48 by 37 inches, fabricated from 1/8 inch cold rolled steel.  Smaller versions, 15 by 11 1/2 inches, can be purchased for home or business.  They can be used for yard signs, wall mounts or window displays.  The small metal William Bruce is 16" tall with a 6" base.  The large William Bruce is 32" tall.

To celebrate Eaton's 200th birthday the bicentennial committee hosted a week of many events.  A ceremony was held at Brooke-Gould park to unveil a bronze statue of Eaton's founder, William Bruce.    My former art teacher, Anita Watts, was commissioned to create the statue and asked me if I could fabricate the armature for her.  I was happy to have a small hand in Anita's spectacular sculpture.   You can view the process of bronze sculpting by visiting Anita's website www.anitawatts.com
